Job Description

Monty's Good Burger seeks professional and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about food, especially plant based food. Come join the Monty's Good Burger Team to be a part of providing high-quality service, and focused attentiveness.

Who we are:

Monty’s Good Burger is a plant-based restaurant in L.A.’s Koreatown, Echo Park, Culver City and The Riverside Food Lab in Riverside California.

Featuring artisanal burgers made from locally sourced ingredients, house-made sauces, and the plant-based ImpossibleTM 2.0 patty, Monty’s Good Burger creates a hamburger that anyone can enjoy. Beyond delicious, the burgers are an option for carnivores who care about the environment but still want that familiar taste, as Monty’s Good Burgers require 75-80% less environmental resources than animal meat. The “Good” in Good Burger means much more than taste to us.

Physical Demands:

  • Work is repetitive standing, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting,
  • Regularly required to lift no more than 40 pounds unassisted
  • Frequently required to use hand-to-finger motions, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and policies of Monty's Good Burger.
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep operations to standard and to set a positive example for the MGB team.
  • Anticipates kitchen needs by constantly evaluating environment, managers, and team members for cues.
  • Communicates important information to the manager so that the team can respond as necessary.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in team member morale/ performance; and providing feedback by communicating to the manager.
  • Provides high-quality service, product, and attentiveness.
  • Follows all Monty's Good Burger operational policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that Monty's Good Burger Team members can work efficiently.
  • Provides quality food and beverage products consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. 
  • Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, machinery, and utensils.
  • Prep and store ingredients and food products according to Monty's Good Burger standards so that items can be sent to stores as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
